FitGuard Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2026
FitGuard ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what the FitGuard Android app collects, why, and how you control it.
1. Information We Collect
Camera: The camera is used only during workouts to count your reps. Frames are analysed on your phone with Google ML Kit. No image or video is stored, uploaded or shared.
Account: If you sign in with Google, we store your email address, display name and profile picture to run your account, friends list and leaderboard.
Workout data: Exercise type, reps, duration, form quality, calories, streaks and your daily plan. Kept on your phone, and synced to our servers when you are signed in.
Steps: Step counts are measured on your phone with the motion sensor and shown in the app. Daily totals are synced when you are signed in.
App usage: To block the apps you choose, FitGuard reads which app is open and how long blocked apps were used today. This stays on your phone. Only daily totals for your own stats screen are synced when you are signed in.
Accessibility Service (optional): Used only for "Reels only" blocking. It looks at the on-screen labels of the apps you chose to block, to recognise the Reels, Shorts or video tab and show the block screen. It never reads your typing, messages or passwords, and nothing it sees is stored or sent anywhere. You can turn it off at any time in Android settings.
Purchases: If you subscribe, Google Play handles the payment. RevenueCat tells the app whether your subscription is active. We never see your card details.
Crash reports: If the app crashes, Sentry receives a technical report (device model, Android version, error details). It does not include your workouts, camera or messages.
Usage events: Anonymous in-app events (for example "workout completed") help us fix problems and improve the app.
2. How We Use It
- To run the workout, plan and app-blocking features
- To track your progress, streaks and achievements
- To power social features you choose to use (friends, leaderboard, challenges, groups)

We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

Data on your phone is kept in an encrypted local database. Cloud data is stored with Supabase and sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

5. Your Choices and Data Deletion
You can use FitGuard as a guest without an account. Signed-in users can delete their account and all cloud data at any time in Settings > Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also request deletion by email (see section 8). Local data is removed when you uninstall the app.
6. Children
FitGuard is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
